Pośny Waterfall (550 m above sea level)
In the heart of the picturesque Kłodzko Basin there is the Pośny Waterfall (550 m above sea level). It is one of the less popular attractions in the region, ideal for tourists seeking peace and respite in nature. Falling from a height, the water creates spectacular cascades, which are the calling card of this unusual place. The Poczny Waterfall lies in the Table Mountains. Access to it is possible thanks to a well-developed network of hiking trails, each offering a different level of difficulty and other natural attractions to explore.
Trails to the Pośny Waterfall
1. Trail from the Way of the Hundred Turns
The trail starting from the Way of the Hundred Turns is one of the most picturesque approaches to the Pośny Waterfall. The length of the route is about 4 kilometers, which makes it ideal for those who want to combine a walk with light trekking. Known for its numerous bends and unique views of the surrounding countryside, the Hundred Turns Road provides a unique experience right at the very beginning of the hike. The path leads through dense beech forests, which gives solace on hot days, and gradually leads down to the valley, where the Pośny Waterfall appears among the green trees. The trail is well marked and maintained, but please be aware of proper footwear as some sections can be slippery, especially after rain.
2. Trail from Radków
Radków, located slightly north of the Pośny Waterfall, offers a trail that is much easier than most other routes. The Radków Trail is an ideal option for families with children and people who prefer less demanding routes. Starting in the center of Radków, it runs along the picturesque river, which makes it exceptionally pleasant. The entire route is flat and well prepared, allowing easy access to the waterfall without the need for climbing. Its length is about 3 kilometers and takes about an hour of walking.
3. Pastorka Trail
The trail from Pasterka is the most challenging approach to the Pośny Waterfall and is recommended for more experienced tourists. It begins in Shepherd, a small village that is often a starting point for hiking in the Table Mountains. The trail offers great views of the surrounding nature. Traveling on the Pastorka-Waterfall route is a real adventure as it involves several more difficult sections of climbing. The length of the route is about 5 kilometers, and the passage takes about 1.5-2 hours.
No matter which route you choose, the Prosny Waterfall offers unforgettable views and relaxation in nature. Each of these routes offers something unique and enables everyone, regardless of fitness and experience, to tailor the tour to their own preferences. Preparing for the hike, including checking current weather conditions and the condition of the trails, is nevertheless imperative.
